The ultimate amateur snowboard contest series will hit some of the most progressive park resorts throughout the United States during its upcoming season, as TransWorld SNOWboarding magazine and High Cascade Snowboard Camp announce today the 2011 TransWorld SNOWboarding TransAM series schedule. The ninth annual TransWorld SNOWboarding TransAM tour will make six stops from coast to coast, culminating with the 2011 TransWorld SNOWboarding TransAM finals.

“The TransAM is a melting pot for some of the happiest up-and-coming riders on earth – it’s more like going and riding with your friends than competing in a wait-at-the-top-for-your-one-run-all-day contest!” –Adam Kisiel, High Cascade Snowboard Camp & TransAM Contest Series Announcer

The 2011 TransWorld SNOWboarding TransAM series will kick off its six-stop tour on January 8 at Waterville Valley, NH. After Waterville Valley, the tour will host four additional contests across the country before finishing the season on March 12 at Bear Mountain, CA, for the 2011 TransWorld SNOWboarding TransAM finals.

The Ultimate Jam will be three 10-minute jam sessions on each line in the park. The Ultimate Jam puts the spotlight on each of the 40 riders in all three rounds, ensuring that the riding will be nothing less than well rounded and dramatic. The winners will be determined by the panel of snowboarding judges.

Winners at each stop will receive a huge prize pack, with loot from TransWorld SNOWboarding as well as tour sponsors High Cascade, Zumiez, Ride Snowboards, Anon Optics, Giro Helmets, Coal Headwear, Drop Mfg, and Vitamin Water.

The top male and female finishers at each stop will also get hooked up with a trip, courtesy of Zumiez, to compete in the TransAM finals at Bear Mountain.

The TransWorld SNOWboarding TransAM overall champions will walk away with automatic qualification and a trip to the Ride Shakedown finals at the Summit at Snoqualmie, WA, courtesy of Ride Snowboards.
